They still don't know for sure what the cause of the fire was- one theory is that the turbos malfunctioned; as you can see, the truck was going nowhere, even if they tried pulling it away from near the shovel, as it still has it's 320 ton load in it. It had approx. 1,000 gallons of desiel still in it's fuel tank, not to mention the hydraulic oil tank used to raise the bed when dumping, and the huge tires. It took approx. 8 hours to put out the fire. It's a Komatsu(sic?) haul truck. ..Good thing nobody got hurt.
