The reason for Vern being on the Elliot was to visit his cousin, 
Chief Boatswain Mate - Dave Hutchins. Both are from Fennville, MI
The Midway is in the background.

Dave took me all through the ship, even down to the engine room where there
are 4 gas turbine engines coupled together.
These are like jet engines and make the ship FAST!!!
