I had quite a bit to do with the Blues over the years.  At Pensacola, my wife ruined a blouse when dye from their "smoke" fell on us. 

They were flying Panthers then.  My first Air Group Commander was Butch Voris, the man who started them.  In BuPers, I handled assignments for a year or so.  My predecessor there had been a Blue.  My boss in that office had been a Blues CO.  Several years later he was the CAPT detailer who sent me to Seattle.  He has been head man at the Navy Air Museum in Pensacola for at least 30 years.  His wife was from there, and her dad was a retired Admiral.
